Crafts for Kids is a High Quality Long Day Care Centre offering an “Open Door Policy” whereby parents can come and visit the Centre at any time.

Crafts for Kids Childrens Centre provides:

• All meals for the times children are in attendance: Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack. All meals are home cooked on premises, nutritionally balanced, age appropriate with cultural and dietary alternatives also catered for.
• Sunhats and sunscreen
• Nappies, wipes and toilet training facilities
• Beds and bedding, washed on premises
• Highly recognised Government Funded Preschool Program.  Run by Bachelor trained teacher who is also very familiar with the Te Whariki approach, which has been adapted by the Victorian Government for the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework. This is inclusive in the Centre fees for eligible children who turn 4 years old before 30th April and are planning on attending school the following year.

Crafts for Kids is proud to be part of new and exciting innovative initiative, organised and run by Lady Gowrie. The trial VEYL&DF Coaching Program is offered to 62 Centres Victoria wide and provides hands-on relevant support for Centres transitioning to the VEYL&DF and National Quality Standards Framework. A coach from Lady Gowrie makes 8 face to face contact visits with the Centre over an 18 month period and 24 hour support is given to Educators in relation to all aspects of planning and implementing the Framework.

Crafts for Kids has a high priority for parent involvement in the National Quality Standards Framework and VEYL&DF. We are always looking for parent involvement in all aspects of the children’s curriculum and evaluations of the Centre’s operation.

A Calender of Events for the year is planned in December for the coming year and all planned in-services are extended to parents, such as first aid, anaphylaxis training & asthma management. We also look to parents to inform us of and share any cultural celebrations they may be involved with.
